taobhThe isle of Harris is an ideal place to come and visit for those either wanting a quiet break away from it all or those wanting a little more excitement. Our beaches, which stretch for miles, are all within 10 Miles of Leverburgh. Here you can walk for miles along the shoreline and machair or find one of the secluded bays and chill out and relax. Our beaches are also great for surfing, kayaking and kiting. You may also be lucky enough to see the odd seal swimming close by. The beaches are a great day out and even in the height of summer you can always find a spot where you can be on your own.
